A New Occupational Therapist at Ambroise-Lafortune: Amélie Lajeunesse-Langdeau

Amélie graduated in 2014 from the University of Sherbrooke with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. After having done a double major in Physics and Mathematics, she decided to reorient herself towards a career where she could use her understanding and gentleness in addition to her analytical abilities. Amélie approaches people with empathy and adapts her treatment to their needs to help them in their rehabilitation journey, find a life balance, and re-establish well-being.

Amélie has followed continuing education courses to perfect her therapeutic approach. This includes a course on chronic pain to better help her patients find quality of life, maintain their intrinsic motivation, and promote the change process necessary in a rehabilitation context.

She is a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec (OEQ).
