Physiatrie What is a physiatrist? Physiatrists are specialist doctors, who are in charge of the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients of all ages suffering mainly from problems affecting the musculoskeletal and neurological system, and disabilities that result.

The physiatrist treats mainly back and neck pains, muscular pains, tendonitis, bursitis and the other joint problems. Medication, orthotics and infiltrations are part of their therapeutic arsenal and they work in a multidisciplinary team, in conjunction with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists, osteopaths, massage therapists, social workers and nurses in of acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers or medical clinics. Dr. Korkmaz, affiliated to Hospital Saint-Eustache Center, will be able to respond to the referral physicians’ consultation requests. It will, among other things provide infiltrations under fluoroscopic guidance to patients who do not respond optimally to traditional rehabilitation.
